I am a film and media scholar, historian, and cultural critic.
I am a Ph.D. student in Film, Television, and Media at the University of Michigan.
My research and writing maps the cultural, technological, and historical contexts that make movies matter. In an increasingly convergent mediascape, when popular and critical discourse dismisses visual media as “content,” my cross-disciplinary scholarship demonstrates individual films, exhibition technologies, and industry practices shape our shared culture. I hold a Master of Arts from American University’s Literature, Culture, and Technology program.
Before graduate school, I ran operations for startups like UrbanStems and OurStreets in Washington, DC and New York City. See my bio or CV for specifics.
